Attached you will find two documents pertaining to the City of Philadelphia 2011 GIS Summer Internship Program.
The first: “GIS College Intern Request Form”, is a form to be used by City departments to request a summer GIS intern. Generally, these are paid internships, but we usually also have a few applicants who are willing to work unpaid or for a small stipend to cover transportation costs. If you are able to fund an internship, I would be happy to discuss the various ways this would be possible depending on your funding source. In the past, paid internships have been at a rate of between $10 and $15 per hour for 20 hours per week. Please submit this completed form to email@example.com by COB Monday, April 4.
The second, “GIS Summer Internship Program”, contains information about the program and is meant to be circulated to students and universities. It describes how students go about applying for a City of Philadelphia internship in GIS for the summer of 2011. This also has a submission deadline of COB, Monday, April 4. If you have contacts at universities that you think may be interested in this program, please feel free to send them this program flyer.
Of course, if you have further questions, please shoot me an email or give me a call.
