Philadelphia Parks & Recreation's division of Urban Forestry and Ecosystem Management has some volunteer opportunities for GIS analysts this summer. Though these would be unpaid positions, the work would be integral to our management of trails, properties and natural lands.
Work may involve the updating and verification of metadata related to park properties, trails and other feature layers. Interns may assist in a project to assess the difficulty of trails which may involve some field surveying. Interns would be required to perform at least 4 hours of work per week.
