You are invited to join us for Penn GIS Day on Wednesday, November 16th 2011!

Penn GIS Day is a free event supported by the Penn Institute for Urban Research and coordinated by the Master of Urban Spatial Analytics program. The goal is to promote the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the University of Pennsylvania, in the community at large and to provide a venue for professional collaboration.

Featured Events:
Map Gallery
Take a stroll through our map gallery and see first-hand the kind cartographic output that using GIS can produce.

Presentations and Demos
Attend one of the presentations and see the
exciting work that Penn researchers, businesses, non-profits, and government agencies are doing with GIS.

GIS Career Panel
Hear from GIS professionals (including Penn grads) in the public and private sector discuss the kind of work you can do with a GIS career. Also learn about the state of the job market and skills necessary for a successful career.

We are looking for organizations from the private and public sector that would like to participate in the map gallery and open house session of GIS Day. If you would like to help make Penn GIS Day a success, please register today!

If you are interested in attending, there is no need to register, but we do ask that you RSVP.
