Azavea is organizing the Philadelphia stop of the LocationTech Tour this Wednesday, a series of talks/conferences on open source GIS projects and tools. Please register and come to Old City from 1-5pm for an afternoon of presentations and then 5-minute lightning talks and socializing with attendees from 5-9pm.

Speakers include Mark Headd, the City of Philadelphia's Chief Data Officer, Georgia Bullen from the New Ameria Foundation, Tom Swanson from Esri, Sean McGinnis from the New Jersey Office of GIS, John Riser from the Department of Geography at Rowan University, Azavea, OpenPlans, and others. 

Most talks will be interesting and accessible to anyone with and interest or basic background in GIS, open government data, and how mapping technology can and is being used in the context of our cities and urban planning processes.
