Want to make a real difference with your volunteer time?  Consider planting a tree and creating a legacy that will provide benefits – environmental, economic and aesthetic – for generations to come!
Pennsylvania Horticultural Society will be sponsoring the planting of over 900 trees on Saturday, November 23 and Sunday, November 24.  The trees will be planted in many Philadelphia neighborhoods, and also in municipalities in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery Counties.
Tree planting volunteers need not be experienced – instructions will be given!  The trees will be bare root, which makes them light weight and easy to plant.
Locations for the tree plantings can be found on PHS’s interactive map at:
http://phsonline.org/greening/tree-tenders/tree-tenders-maps.  Contact information for the group leaders is listed there, or you can contact Mindy Maslin at mmaslin@pennhort.org or Barley Van Clief at bvanclief@pennhort.org to learn more.
Want to do more? Consider becoming a Tree Tender!    There are classes coming up this winter in Philadelphia and throughout the region this spring. Go to http://phsonline.org/greening/tree-tenders for more information.
