Philadelphia LISC seeks Community Development Interns to support its Sustainable Communities Initiatives in West Philadelphia and Eastern North Philadelphia.  The interns will also work on LISC's strategic priorities, which include the Financial Opportunity Center, Commercial Corridor Program, Community Safety Initiative, and AmeriCorps Program.   Interns will have the opportunity for a meaningful learning experience at one of the nation's largest non-profit organizations and will make substantive contributions to assisting LISC achieve its mission of helping neighbors build communities.

Undergraduate degree required.  Graduate level education preferred.  Background in urban studies, policy, community development or related field a plus.  Commitment to and/or experience with working lower-income communities and a community-based, resident-driven model of neighborhood revitalization.  These are paid hourly positions.  We are seeking two interns for up to 15 hours per week for 12 months.
